Spring has (almost) sprung in Quebec City too!
You have planned a weekend or even a few days in Quebec, but you do not know where to start to discover the city, or just to have fun? Here are some suggestions that will help you make the most of your stay with us, as the spring, has (finally) decided to show up.
Sugar season in Quebec
Even though the month of March is coming to an end, many Sugar Shacks are ready to welcome you for a brunch, lunch or even a festive dinner. For example, L’Érablière Le Chemin du Roy in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures (a 10-minute drive from the hotel), offers an all-you-can-eat meal with a traditional singer, as well as outdoor activities for all.
For Easter weekend, many family activities are available to you. If you love animals, note that the Floralies Jouvence Garden Center will welcome you free of charge to its Easter farm from March 29th to April 2nd.
In addition, on March 30 and 31, Laurier Québec shopping center, within walking distance, offers a large range of free activities for the whole family.
Until April 2, 2018, the Garden Hamel invites you to the 19th edition of “Papillons en Fête”, a magnificent activity that will amaze everyone.
If you do not want to leave the comfort of the hotel (we understand you!) do not worry. The arrival of good weather has inspired Alain Saucier, Chef at Bistro-Bar Jules-Verne, in the development of a new spring menu. From April 2 to July 2, a six-course menu will be offered at our signature restaurant, for you to discover maple in all its forms. From crunchy cake to granite, without forgetting a thematic cocktail “Kir Coureur des bois”: maple season has undoubtedly inspired our chef. Do not forget to book a table during your next stay with us.
Also, do not miss the “Easter Egg Hunt” at Bistro Jules-Vernes which will take place on Sunday April 1st. The chef’s maple treats will delight the little ones (and grown-ups!) And will be distributed to all customers by our front desk team from 10am to 2pm Sunday April 1st. Do not miss this!
April is always unpredictable, but we still go out and visit!
On April 7th and 8th, at the Quebec City Cruise Terminal Pixel Warpzone will be held. It is a big party in honor of video games, that will delight as much the amateurs and enthusiasts as the simply curious.
From April 11 to 15, the Québec City Convention Center (15-minute drive) invites you to the Quebec International Book Fair, where the entire family can discover new books, meet several authors and participate in a myriad of fun activities.
Taking place from April 17 to 29, do not miss the 8th edition of Québec Exquis! With its popular Eat, Enjoy, Cook, Go Out and Sleep shutters, this year also adds another highlight to better punctuate the party: Discover. To accompany everything, guests will also have the chance to rediscover the wines of Languedoc. Book your seat now at your favorite restaurant.
For tea lovers, the Quebec Tea Festival will take place at Palais Montcalm on Saturday, April 28th.
If you want to encourage Quebec Arts & Crafts, Créafolie Market in L’Ancienne-Lorette (15 minutes by car) allows you to meet more than 85 exhibitors from April 28 to 29. Did one of these activities caught your eye? Do not hesitate to contact our customer service, who will be happy to assist you in your bookings and trips.
Happy Spring to all!
